Sailfish SDK on macos 15.5

So far I have been unable to run the Sailfish OS I downloaded on macos 15.5.

I open the .dmg and there is the .app there. Trying to run it I get the error:

"Apple could not verify $filename is free of malware and may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.

This mac has some corporate security installed, but I’m not sure if it’s that or more restrictive securoty controls in 15.5

I’ve had this with other downloaded apps too.

I assume due to lack of signing or similar?

Anyone know of a workaroudn to this issue?

Aha! It seems Apple have moved the “Open Anyway” option to a security section of the System Preferences control panel - where I found it by coincidence and was able to open the SDK.

I have a running and working Docker installation on macos, but the Sailfish SDK install didn’t seem to detect it. I had to download VirtualBox to get the install to proceed.

From installation instructions:

On Linux and Windows, both Oracle VM VirtualBox (version 4.1.18 or higher) and Docker (version 18.09.3 or higher) are supported by the SDK Build Engine. On macOS, only VirtualBox is supported.

So Docker is not supported on macOS.
