I have installed 5.0.0.62 on Xperia IV and I am trying to install the “essential” applications. My upgraded daily driver (Xperia III: 4.x - 5.0.0.62) runs harbour-ownkeepass
I have managed to install the most important applications, but failed to install harbour-ownkeepass.
The app fails to install - from the command-line it shows that 2 dependencies are missing: libsodium and libargon2.
I have managed to bodge a frankenstein installation by manually downloading these 2 packaged from Storeman/OpenRepos/CHUM and OBS (4.6), but would prefer to install from the same trustworthy source.
Does anybody know if, all existing 4.6 OBS packages are going to be ported to the 5.0 repository?
Also, is ownkeepass abandonware? It doesn’t seem to seems to be active development, but for me, serves an important role in portable password management, without relying on Android applications.
That “something” is the .a files in libargon2 and libsodium builds. It should be quite easy to just remove them at the install section of the RPM spec file.
PRs fixing the libraies build have already been merged and should find their way to Chum soon.
As for abandonware, no, the app is in maintainer mode by volunteers in the Chum git organization.
But it’s crucial to report bugs if found to that repo. So maintainers are being made aware of issues.
Sitting and waiting will not fix things, also complaining about brokenness in chat channels or Forums will not.
(Although a post such as yours is much better than doing nothing.)
The app landscape on a small ecosystem like we have here is not a spectator’s sport.
Get active, file issues, do research, maybe create PRs.
Maybe get an account at OBS and contribute directly by publishing or maintaining an app.
