According to some socialmedia-sources the Russians were using AuroraOS phones allowing encrypted communication through 3G/4G networks until the mobile network in Ukraine broke down.
Is there anything know about this Era system?

Well, I’ve heard some rumors a while back in 2020 and later in 2021 they’re developing a phone for military applications, based on the MIG C55
But i would be surprised if they managed to deploy them so quickly.
Also “Era System” would also not necessarily mean the software is called Era.
Era is kind of a military research institute in Anapa, near Krasnodar, that develops high-tech electronics for the armed forces, so the media posts may be just referring to “the stuff from Era” or something.
I think the whole project was called Quartz, at least back in 2021.
