DESCRIPTION:
Apps which are only available as Landscape orientation make Edge Swipes behave in unexpected ways.
PRECONDITIONS:
import QtQuick 2.6
import Sailfish.Silica 1.0
Page {
allowedOrientations: Orientation.Landscape
...
}
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
- Enable Home Screen Rotation
- Start an App which forces Landscape Orientation
- Rotate phone to Portrait orientation (physically)
- Try to close the app using ‘Swipe from Top Edge’ Gesture
EXPECTED RESULTS:
When the phone is in Portrait, I expect the edge swipe gestures to correspond to portrait, irrespective of the app that’s running.
ACTUAL RESULTS:
Swipe gestures correspond to landscape mode. I.e. in the situation described, the Landscape app can not be closed by swiping from the (short/top) edge of the screen.
(Instead, this causes a transition to Events View, like a swipe from the long edge would/does).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
In addition, the described Events View is also in Landscape orientation while ‘peeking’ I.e. As the device is in Portrait, that looks weird.
Finishing the peek makes it rotate to the correct orientation.
Similar for whatever corresponds to other Edge Swipe/Peek views.
