I would post a log but where is it located for Phone connections?
Next time you’re confronted with this problem, you can check this tutorial from Jolla. I checked myself and Ofono logger seems to be only available from OpenRepos, at least on my Xperia 10 II.
Roaming in Guernsey with an x10iii and the operator Free is working but …..
I live in France. My operator is Free. My smartphone is the x10iii with Sailfish OS.
I went on a three-day trip to the island of Guernsey. The phone network my phone registered with was JT (for Jersey Telecom i think, which must operate on the islands of Jersey and Guernsey?).
It was three days of “hell.” The phone kept registering/deregistering on JT, and I must have received the welcome message to the Channel Islands from my operator Free with its rates more than 200 times.
As a result, the phone ended up losing the network completely, with the icons disappearing (mobile data in the shortcuts, network in the system menu, etc.), and only a reboot could restore it.
This also greatly disrupted AAS (Android App Support), and I had to stop and restart AAS countless times to be able to launch Thunderbird or Signal.
I managed to create oFono logs (thanks @pherjung), but I won’t post them here as they contain personal datas.
I’ll see if I open a ticket report in zendesk, but first I’d like to know if other people have had to “put up with” such inconveniences!
Note: I tried to get VoLTE to work but without success, so I disabled the corresponding button in the menu.
