Works good for me !!! Thanks !
The extra calendars were correctly cleaned up for me.
On a non-related note, the EAS plugin didnât work on the first boot after updating (it didnât sync). I restarted the phone once again and then it worked immediately.
Maybe. Those might even be from a different account which was removed already long time ago. This is an old device⌠Nevertheless, I am aware how those could be removed with sqlite magic, I just canât be bothered. Iâm just waiting for the Jolla Phone to arrive so this device can be retired ![]()
The upgrade went fine, but my Calendar now wonât start. It spins for a bit, then disappears. I have no Microsoft accounts on my C2. The calendar was working well before the upgradeâŚwish I hadnât installed it, now.
Upgrade went fine, but I am experience severe power management issues on my C2 (HW ver 2.0.0.59) since then:
PROBLEM: Some hours (today about 3hrs, but also some 5 or 8 hrs in the days after the upgrade) after disconnecting the USB-C power supply the phone suddenly shuts down and can only be rebooted properly after a power is connected.
Today this happend some tens of minutes after I observed the battery indicator in the top of the screen indicating a battery level of the order of 90%, so it drained very quick, very suddenly.
After that I had no access to a power supply (on a 5 hour hike through a forest) but I tried to reboot it a couple of times to gather some phenomenology:
Common behaviour: the phone shut down every time after typing the device pin twice and the sim pin.
- time the first indicated power level was 8%, which dropped to 5% suddenly and the device told me âgoodbyâ.
- second time after waiting (hiking, without connection to ANY power supply) a couple of minutes, first display of the power level was of order 38% (?!?) but after the 3 PIN-entries the device mentioned an empty battery and told âgoodbyâ again.
- After some 20-30 minutes the battery indicator claimed 50% initially, which changed to 45% after the PINs but some seconds later the âgoodbyâ shut down occurred again.
So it feels as if the calibration of the battery level sensor is broken after the upgrade.
Or some process suddenly drains a lot of power (for no good reason since I have not exeprienced this issue before this release) and no power management process steps in to kill this.
Please help!

Hmm, this seems more like a HW issue to me. But I donât want to scare you as I might be wrong.
Can you report battery voltage and current with battery log or similar app? That might tell more about voltage detection? Especially if there are rapid changes there.
But open a separate thread as Iâm pretty sure it has nothing with the SFOS update.
Installed Battery Log half an hour before a new occurrence.
Created a Bug report and linked an uploaded sqlite-file from Battery Log to it.
First battery Log I found was on the Open Repos, v 1.3.3. seemed Predating the C2.
In the battery-log-and-amazfit-do-not-work-on-sfos-4 I found a link to a newer version that I was able to download from:
Now the screen is giving more info, but I was wondering whether there is an updated location where this information is shared?
Aka instead of battery log | OpenRepos.net â Community Repository System that seems to be abandoned at the end of 2023?
I do not maintain that package actively. I can do updated builds if someone submits a PR.
But I believe for monitoring SystemDatascope is the better tool, and for viewing and managing charging information, Battery Buddy.
now I have permanent SMS sending issues on my 10 III ist there a solution or a workaround? Restart did noch help. Receiving an sms did not reset something and receiving a call didn not help either. So now i dont have an idea to solve that. I hat to answer through my workphone⌠and that is emarrassing.
Maybe this helps? Sending text messages not working - #64 by mal
thanks for the info. I actually got it wo work again after enabling VoLTE. it did not register after I started it. the dot was blinking. so i restarted. then the dot got locked in and sms sending worked after that. the solution from mal too far away from may knowledge of the system. i am not too deep in programming or working with the terminalâŚ
Still looses sound after a while. Not as fast as before but still. Not nice if anyone calls and you do not hear. Xperia 10III
No reply yet from the Zendesk about my degraded battery performance.
I also sent them a couple of rrd-files from SystemDataScope with data that was collected during a couple of sudden shutdowns.
Hope the error is SW, like an accidental wrong calibration somewhere in a battery charge monitor subsytem.
But it is a bit annoying to carry an extra power pack to revive the phone regularily.
They wrote they have a few weeks backlog.
My XA2 took two attempts again to update from 5.0.0.76 to 5.0.0.77.
The calender is OK now.
Not sure which of these actions resolved it:
- uninstalled and reinstalled the calendar
- in Utilities, restarted the home screen
- in Filelight, stopped the calendar app
- started it up from the Store icon.
After all that, it started up, all data present.
Story about how trusty old XA2 Plus H4413 (2018!) was recalled upon to SFOS duty with a clean reflash 5.0.0.77 install.
Daily driver X10 III met the pavement the other week, and cracked its screen.
While J2 is emerging, rerouted myself to an X5 II (50 âŹ, great condition, but light-saber screen fault risks and degraded battery) + LOS 23 / A16 to see what life on the other side is like for a few months.
Fortunately/dev/sda79clone process enables getting data out fairly easily.
I was surprised how fine the install and onboarding process has become over the past years.
5.0.0.77 flash script worked without a single hitch.
All install and onboarding screens looked visually fully polished, all the way into OS itself. Tutorial has early exit function, and other such papercuts seemed all solved.
Dedicated âEncrypting user dataâ screen looked very trustworthy and like a real product value prop.
New AAS / A13 installed and works great, quite a surprise itâs even available for something as old as XA2. All permission configuration screen dynamics looked and worked well. Tried out MicroG after a long while, that also seems to be continously better ((I daily drive AppSupport with MindTheGapps for work). Most importantly, was able to log into chess.com app using Google account no problemo.
Then I mounted and extracted various bits and pieces like Accounts, Contacts, Notes, SailOTP db etc from /dev/sda79 image and copied them on the XA2 over SSH. Now I have a live SFOS device for emergency backup, and to maintain certain personal data model continuity until J2 lands.
Point of the story: maybe we have something promising here, after all, huh? ![]()
Yeah, show me any other OS that supports any mobile device for 8 years.
Iâve started having incoming calls start on loudspeaker (10mk3).
Anybody else?
