I tried both ways, no change, I plugged in a small “keyboard mouse” via USB OTG, I can scroll up and down, but no way to select a language.
I’m having the exact same problem.
What about if you try to charge the phone turned off. This was working with my Xperia X as well as my Xperia 10II. So you should at least have enough energy to unlock the phone. Just an idea as i didn’t order C2 nor intend to do so for the moment If there is a 5G version coming i would be tempted perhaps
Update without problems. However, there are major problems with 4G network and update did not fix these.
- sending sms does not go if network is 4G, only 2G works. Error message.
- incoming call does not come through, only 2G. Outgoing calls without problems also with 4G.

Hi Oliver!
You are not alone. There is no known solution at this time. Please be patient.

Did the upgrade after a basic setup of C2. Now the orientation is always landscape…
I passed the first boot up with no issues, but did not perform a reboot until now. Is it recommend to do the update to .21 directly? Or should I do the reboot now and update aftermath?
Hello @spienima @rainemak, please could you publish to the community just a part of firmware for Jolla C2 5.0.0.5, juste a partitions concerns only SailfishOS datas to solve problem of bootloop, and after have to possibility to upgrade to 5.0.0.21? Is the solution acceptable by Jolla or Jollyboys company, isnt?
I had to download the update to 5.0.0.21 for two times before it went trough:
First time it shows something like 630MB to download and did it very quickly over our 5Ghz WLAN connected to 400MBit Fiber-Line. Then the Update-Screen gives an error and i reboot.
Then the Update shows the update has 1MB (maybe left?) to download, after that the Installation went trough.
