X 10 III Update from 4.4 to 4.5 without any problem.

• uninstalled chum gui app before update because it said it could be a problem
• manually switched microg fakestore from 0.0.2 to 0.1.0 in f-droid before update (as others have reported issues)
• android apps appeared approx. 5 mins after the update and i couldn’t run any android app for another 5 mins. Just had to be patient

Updated via OTA our Sony X Compact and XA2, both stuck at the End of the Progressbar but a restart with Power-Key and Volume-Up-Key did the trick. Both showing installed 4.5. and running without Problems so far.

My Daily Driver Sony XZ2 Compact (Community-Port) was updated via commandline with no problems, kudos to:

I also upgraded fakestore from 0.0.2 to 0.1.0 before the upgrade, and everything went smooth and quick.

Suggestion 1: recommend this fakestore manual upgrade inside the “how to upgrade” section of the release notes.

Suggestion 2: the feedback poll at the end of the release notes should be divided into early-access upgrades and after-official-release.

Start app-support, ps auxw|grep lxc shows you –rcfile=/tmp/appsupport/aliendalvik/config, there in you have lxc.include = /tmp/appsupport/aliendalvik/10-bsp_config. My XA2 returns the bluetooth to the blocked state efter a restart.

For me it stays connected, but no sound. And the notification from headphones does not give the peep sound that it usually does when paired. Only unpairing and finding it again works. worked before update.

Hi, here is logs. Showing that from reboot bluetooth didn’t work. Had to use utils to restart it. And few connected states without sound and one with it working as it should.Logs here:

The soft-blocked status after boot repeated three times.
Then I installed the Utilities from Jolla store.
Restarted the bluetooth subsystem. Headset connects (with sound).
Turned the XA2 off and then booted it again.
Now the soft-blocking issue is gone. I cannot replicate it.
Bluetooth is off and cannot be started from the normal menu.
Restarting the bluetooth subsystem. Starting bluetooth with the menu button does not work.
The bluetooth rfkill ID is now 2.
Restart the bluetooth subsystem again.
Now a much longer delay before the utility reports that the subsystem restarted successfully.
The menu button is lit and the headset is connected (with sound).
The bluetooth ID is now 3.

I’ll see if I can extract the logs tomorrow.

OTA Update to 4.5 crashes - What to do?

OK, so after a week of mucking around trying to fix things and multiple attempts I finally got a telnet connection into my Xperia 10 III and was able to reset the phone back to factory settings. I then re-flashed the latest 4.4 release from the Jolla website, logged into my Jolla account and did the official OTA update to 4.5 using the GUI. Try to make the AppSupport migration script run again: rm android_storage/.storage_migration_done reboot If that file to be removed does not exist, comment here. So, if the above did not help, let’s collect some logs:

I looked for that file in /home/defaultuser/android_storage/ but have not found it (I did check for hidden files of course).
As already mentioned (see link) I cant install apps as well. Jolla store tells me there are 4 app-updates: Android-support, Notes, Sailfish Utils and Weather. None of them installs.
So my version of Android-support is still API-Level 29, Android-version 10.
Every sailfish-app seems to run fine. I think there was some notification of Android-apps, but no Ansdriod-app-GUI anywhere!

I finally made the update to 4.5.0. Thank you Jolla and all contributors for this release!

A special thank you to @dcaliste for all your hard work on the Calendar app. It’s one of my most important apps and the improvements really make a difference.

(I’m not so sure about Android app icons looking like native ones, in fact I would prefer them to have a little Android badge as a warning , but I think I can live with the current state of things.)

Doing systemctl restart connman the service raises-up but if the tethering was active on the WiFi then after the raise only the WiFi is active. Is there a command line way to switch on the WiFi tethering?

Same here. I never did any fancy tinkering with my phone, so I don’t know what could possibly cause this.
