Pretty sure there is known bug at play here.
TL;DR an attempted fix for what metric the C2 used, made it show wrong info for everyone else.
The signal strength is less shit than it looks.

Really low signal strength on 5.0.0.73

It seemed there is room for improvements then. On some devices the old code gave way too high signal strength but it seems now it’s the opposite on some devices. I will do more investigation and try to find a fix that would make it more accurate.
