Regression: while on call / display always on

REPRODUCIBILITY: mostly Everytime
OS VERSION: 4.6.0.13
HARDWARE: Xperia 10 II
UI LANGUAGE: DE
REGRESSION: YES

DESCRIPTION:

Since the update to 4.6 I noticed a different behaviour while on call.

  1. The “nearby” sensor does not turn the display off. This results in an action triggered by my ear (e.g. put the call on hold).
  2. I can not turn off display off with the hw button.
  3. I can trigger/swipe to be on the pass code page, but the display stays activ. So, while having the phone in the pocket (while on a call with a headset) it triggers input of the pass code (limit reached).

PRECONDITIONS:

OS/HW Combination as mentioned

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Receive a call
  2. try to deactivate the display
  3. the mentioned scenario is not always stable / reproducible

EXPECTED RESULT:

Turn display off to prevent not intended input (while having the phone at my ear or in the pocket while on call with headset)

ACTUAL RESULT:

JFI: The display-always-on issue happens only when receiving a call …!

See if the sensor is working by pressing *#*#310#*#* and do the “proximity sensor” test.

The sensor test via “SailfishOS CSD tool” is ok. Also, when the call is started by myself, then the phone behaves as intended …
