Recipient not selectable when sharing a link from AlienDalvik to Message App in SfOS

REPRODUCIBILITY: Always
OS VERSION: 4.4.0.64 but it was the same on older versions

HARDWARE: X10iii / XA2
UI LANGUAGE: German

DESCRIPTION:

When using the sharing function of any Android Application the menu opens to select to which app someone wsnts to share. When selecting the Messages App, Messages App opens with the Link in the text field. But there is no option to select an recipient from the Adress Book.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Press the share button from any Android App

  2. Select the messages App

  3. Messages app opens with the link in tbe text field and the recipient is not selectable.

EXPECTED RESULT:

Ask to which contact the message should be sent.

ACTUAL RESULT:

Only option is to link the current sender which is shown as an asterisk to an existing contact or create a new one

Thanks for the report @miau, and also the helpful tip for how to trigger the issue @pherjung.

I’ve created an internal bug report about this and so have tagged it as “tracked”. If we have updates to share on it we’ll do our best to post them here.

Any news? It is still broken in 4.5. Sharing to Jolla Mail or copy to clipboard is also not working.
