I don’t disagree. Your idea is nothing new. I also accept you are not a spammer.
Lots of different folk from all walks of life have the similar idea and post it here. Some are totally nuts and just flood this forum with utter bollocks about how Sailfish can be this or can be that, it’s tiring after a while. I’ve been visiting Jolla’s forums since conception, nobody except management, has ANY idea or road map, it’s one big skiing holiday and new cars, is all I see and read.
As far as I am aware and I could easily be wrong, the owners of Jolla (Jollyboys ~ dumb name) have their own ideas and directions, if there were to be a collaboration, it would have happened by now, as there is no way QT are unaware of SFOS, surely contact would have been?, maybe it has and never amounted to anything?
We already need updates to happen with QT, moving from 5 into 6 as 6 slowly moves towards 7 and then out the door, leaving Jolla behind once more.
“It’s a money flow matter” - no shit Sherlock.
Then we’ve had every single conceivable idea about funding Jolla, funding individuals to bring stuff up to scratch, sadly, it just remains as chat, nothing else, the funding is not there, and for some reason, it takes millions in any currency to write lines of code. Jolla just do not seem to be interested in upping QT, but community efforts mentioned a preview or something for QT6 going through the over complication Chum stuff (I can’t be bothered).
I love coding with QT, but through SailfishOS, it’s a painful exodus and a long, long tunnel with no light at the end, because the lights have been switched off due to cutbacks and a lack of funding (see a dictionary for “sarcasm”)
