Q: What can one do to reduce battery drain? (Xperia 10)

What can one do to reduce battery drain on Xperia 10?

Battery drain is exorbitant, this is not new, power consumtion always was very high. Use battery one day, charge over night works. But any other phone nowadays has some days battery time and charging abt twice a week. What’s the reason for this? How to change this, make it better? Please give me hints where to tweak + tinker in the system. Are there some options? Does anyone know what to try and where to begin?

I’ve not been impressed with any of my Xperia 10s battery life but my Android phones aren’t very impressive either. I’m not getting the battery life you mention out of them either, but I guess that is just usage patterns.

Anyway, I would love a more comprehensive monitor of what uses the battery for how much in SFOS. None of the existing solutions cover that.

That way one can investigate and tweak battery usage more.

Most of my friends with Android devices need to charge every night.

I don’t use mine 10III to often a day, so I get about 1,5 days till charging.

With turned off AAS I get 2 days.

My oneplus 6 without Waydroid lasts about 3 days. With Waydroid not really 1 day.

Saving energy is going on 2G, not using Android, reducing display light…

Situations App might help.

Other Phones are not really much better on this.

wifi is often the battery hog, especially if you’re living in the area with lots of wifi networks around and spending significant time outside of the home network. the phone is draining the battery looking for the network to connect to.

the solution to this problem is to turn wifi off when leaving home (or keep it off all the time if you have an unlimited mobile internet data plan)
