Hello,
I don’t know much about Linux. I want to use my old mobile phone to run klipper on a 3d printer. And I installed sailfishOS on my phone but I couldn’t find any resources about installing klipper. I would appreciate it if you could help me.
Hello,
I don’t know much about Linux. I want to use my old mobile phone to run klipper on a 3d printer. And I installed sailfishOS on my phone but I couldn’t find any resources about installing klipper. I would appreciate it if you could help me.
Did you read this…?
https://www.klipper3d.org/Installation.html
https://www.klipper3d.org/FAQ.html#can-i-run-klipper-on-something-other-than-a-raspberry-pi-3
I’m trying to use this but most of the codes don’t work in sailfish.
I’m sure there are devs that possibly could make it work one way or another, but that’s not me. As I read it, Sailfish isn’t really fit for the task.
I think getting a pi-3 is the way to go, but as I said, it’s an amateur opinion.
By codes do you mean the commands in the README?
Yes. Yesterday I installed Debian using containers. I installed Klipper, but unfortunately the printer and the phone do not communicate with each other. When I plug in the OTG cable, nothing happens.
Install usbutils, see if lsusb lists the device, add device to the lxc container if it does with the same vendorid/productid (or compile missing packages from source on phone to skip the container passthrough, if that ends up problematic, not sure)
