Situation is:
Have a Xperia X single SIM flashed with SFOS 4.6.0.15 and working.
Went to Jolla shop + purchased a licence.
Licence is paid and visible in purchase history:
QxxxJ8xxx7 paid 2025-07-01 17:46 24.90 EUR
Went to Jolla Store, wanted to download + install Appsupport and word suggestions. → but not visible in Store.
Deleted existing + reinstalled Jolla account new on the Xperia X
Same as above. Rebooted phone. Same as above
Begin to write this post. While writing: Xperia X shows: Problem with connecting to Jolla Store.
Reboot.
Now Jolla Store has no nore connection problems, but still Appsupport + Word suggestions not downloadable. Neither in best apps nor in Jolla section, as it is on other phone.
What can I do?
Licenses for Xperia X are no longer offered - and has not been for quite some time.
Not to mention the AppSupport version you’s get is all but useless (4.4 or something like that).
Better than nothing, wanted to restaurate this museum device in best possible state for simply collector purposes. It’s a nice looking device and astonishing how good this works with the latest SFOS.
OK, thanks for explaining. I wasn’t sure if it was me who made a mistake or a phone bug or database error on Jolla side. Therefore I asked. So shall be good and donation for Jolla and have a licence good for maybe later. Who knows what it’s good for. Good Night!

trying to install Ubuntu touch is not a bad idea on the Xperia X
i did it a while ago (unfortunately my Xperia X died a few days ago!)
it will show you some of the goods of UB
it is as its drawbacks but not as bad as i thought at first
one point it looks like a real community!!
Wanted to try just for fun. Downloaded Sony img, installed UB ports installer, but doesn’t work. Wants this and that, doesn’t accept the downloaded Sony img.
So, no no, better not. I leave as it is as a nice Sailfish museum device without Appsupport but Sailfish apps working fine.
Thanks!
I tried yesterday to use my xperia X with SailfishOS and Appsupport (not turned on for months). F_droid wanted to upgrade but impossible to do so. Android 4.4 is really too old to get working android apps.

for me it worked straight out of the box!
while i can read on this forum so many posts which describe a non working issue
while other people report the same case working well
why that?
are the smartphone software so immature than this can happen?
i am on old hand at linux, since the very the beginning in the early nineties, i have never seen that in a linux distro
i have installed a few dozen of them and almost every time it worked as expected
are the people in the smartphone field real apprentice or seasoned developer?
i wonder!!!
