Problems getting Aurora Store working without anonymous login (Jolla Phone 2026)

I have been trying to log in Aurora Store with my personal G account but it always says “unable to refresh account” or something like that.

Currently in Aurora settings (the one found top right corner in ui) I can see two accounts, anonymous and my personal but when I try to set my personal account as default it says “unable to refresh account” or similar, sometimes it just keeps loading forever in “Switching account ….”, I noticed that happens at least when WLAN and Mobile data both are enabled so definitely there is also some problems in networking side in Sailfish how it handles when both are enabled.

I have added my account in microG settings and I think almost everything is enabled there, Selected profile under Google device registration is currently “Motorola Moto G (LineageOS 14.1)” have tried automatic and real also.

So how I can proceed solving this?

I had to update Aurora Store through F-Droid to be able to log in with a Google account.

Thanks but looks like I have latest 4.8.4 already installed.

In my case Aurora Store crashes if I choose my Google account added to MicroG.

I don’t have an account linked to MicroG, I only logged in in Aurora. The only thing I did in MicroG was making sure that all the self-check pass.

After restart of AAS it got it wprking now. Nevertheless paid Apps can’t load, System does not see them as paid in my account.

Can you install the app (I’m assuming it’s a paid app) on another android device, backup the app (I used total commander), transfer it to sailfish and install it? Obviously this only works with having a spare android device, but I’m sure there are other ways if you don’t have another phone.

I’m not sure if this works, but this would be the first thing I’d try.

Originally I want to login with my personal is to get Mobile Pay app, its not paid app but I have read its required to login with your personal acc to install it but tried install again and now install suddently workded.

But now Mobile Pay gives only “Denmark” or “Greenland” options to choose from in onboarding “Where do you live” question” which is kind of wierd because I live in Finland :smiley: Gave location access to app but still same…

And for original problem restarting AAS didn’t help, so stuck with anonymous mode for now.

There is two different mobilepay apps in Aurora, you need to be careful which ine you install. You now installed the one for Danish market. When you install the one for finland / sweden you are able to select correct country

ah, yes. now I get it going (almost, need to install chrome also…)

No problem, Vivaldi also works. Note that you need to install the older version for it to function. Newest versions don’t work anymore
