Before filing a bug report: battery life on the C2 is pretty poor. To give an example: today I unplugged it from its charger around noon (charged at 80%) and with minimal usage the charge has dropped to 35% at 17:30. And that is after having put it into energy saving mode immediately unplugging it. Any suggestions for troubleshooting this?
First of all, it would be necessary to know if any power-consuming features were enabled, e.g. if you had WiFi on or some app was preventing the phone from suspending. I have not experienced such issues on my C2.
i dont know what your minimal usage is but i can easily do a day.
as the phone dies shorty after reaching 20% and the discussion that the bat level is wrongly calibrated, i do charge it to 90%
I would suggest charging the battery to 100% once and observing whether the problem persists.
For additional troubleshooting, you can try monitoring the battery current using a tool such as SystemDataScope and comparing it with the CPU suspend graph. If the CPU is suspended most of the time but the battery discharges quickly, this might indicate a hardware problem. If the CPU is not suspending enough, it is likely to be a software problem. If the current is inconsistent with the discharging rate, there is a problem with the calibration (or you have a faulty battery).
This was without using Wifi, will dive into the Android settings for the few Android apps I do run.
In terms of Battery-Usage the Jolla C2 performs for me like this:
All Apps closed, Android-App support off and Flightmode on ~0.22%/h
All Apps closed, Android-App support on and Flightmode on ~0.64%/h
Apps open, Android-App support off, WLAN and Mobile Data on ~1.3%/h
Apps open, Android-App support off, WLAN, BT and Mobile Data on, Streaming Music with Jolla Mediaplayer to BT-In-Ears ~3.5%/h
Mobile-Data on, only Kuri open and GPS-Tracking on (~5%/h), Display off.
Measured with SysMon.
On my typical usage the Battery lasts ~1.5-2 Days (100% - 20%).
During the brighter daylight summer months, I have a higher display brightness, so the total runtime increases by 3 to 9 hours when making heavy use of the display (navigating, web surfing and videos).
Sometimes when an App-Process or daemon hangs, it can consume much more. In one case after i had closed Fotokopierer-App, there was the Camera-Daemon still running in the Background with high CPU-Load.
