A phone without sms isn’t really reliable and this problem has been around from ages, so i suppose it should be high priority…

the initial version of this bug report was created using Bugger 0.9.15+git3
It means that if someone send me an sms i have 50% chance of receiving it. Based on what i don’t know, but still i have an high chance of not receiving it
And yes, this has been reported multiple times till 4.2 i think, by multiple users but never been adressed
Last time it happened to me just two days ago
Also tried with a friend, sent me 4 sms in a row and i received just 2…
Oh and of course, when i said “send yourself a message” i meant with another number…
FWIW, here’s another thing, but it has nothing to do with SFOS, at least not directly:
At work we use an (older) Android phone that both sends and receives messages to a lot of recipients. Sometimes messages don’t arrive, on both ends. We haven’t found out what’s going on, but we have wild suspicions:
Android changes modes when it sends group messages, and/or some operators restrict how many SMS you can send out at one time. Workaround: groups of recipients have been split into subgroups of <10.
Android uses some protocol that goes beyond normal text messages. Other phones - esp. older iPhones? - don’t recognize that
Inversely, there are some protocols that our phone does not recognize
Network problems (seriously? in 2025? But yeah, this is the countryside)
