Only one channel audio output after countdown

DESCRIPTION:

I’m using wired headphones in jack to hear music in media player. After alarm timer times out, an alarm goes off. After the alarm is disarmed, the music restarts playing only one left channel.

PRECONDITIONS:

Wired headphoens are pluged in.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Start playing an Album in Media player.
  2. Start a countdown timer
  3. Wait until it times out
  4. Stop alarm

EXPECTED RESULT:

Musik restarts playing on both channels automatically.

ACTUAL RESULT:

Audio comes back only on left channel of earphones.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Stoping audio and starting playback again brings back both channels.
Had this also after a reboot, so it seems to be persistent.

As far as I know, there is no software installed, which messes arround with system settings, like output chooser or a patch.

From where are you setting a countdown?, the native media player does not have a timer…does it?, are you using an Android app for music/media?

Sorry for ambiguous information. I mean Timer in standard Alarm app. Hopefully it is more clear now. I don’t know exact UI translation, as I am using German language.

I was not able to reproduce this. The music playback continued on both channels after dismissing the alarm.

Is your phone an xq-au51 (single SIM) or an xq-au52 (dual SIM)? (this may or may not be relevant)

It is “Dual SIM”. But I can’t imagine how this should have any influence.

Hello again,

the issue still exists in 4.4.0.58 EA.
Today it happend again, this time with AllRadio app. So it seems not be depending on playing app.
