5.1.0.11 Released, enjoy.
Hey @Mister_Magister I upgraded my OP6 from 5.0.0.77 to 5.1.0.11.
I followed these steps:
- devel-su
- ssu re 5.1.0.11
- zypper clean -a
- zypper ref -f
- version --dup
- reboot
Unfortunately it is now stuck in a boot loop. About 12s after entering the home enryption passwd it reboots.
You could’ve just used updater but whatever
Well, that’s unlucky, but i don’t think there’s possible cause or anything I can do to help really ![]()
I understand and it’s no big deal.
It is my learing phone for Sailfish until I receive my Jolla Phone.
I’ll just re-install.
Do you use home encryption?
yes, I did. I decided back then and I probably would not do it again.
(I mentioned the issue with missing the password entry at boot, e.g. doing something else, and than a reboot is required because the screen goes black and I did not find a way to turn it on again).
but i fixed that! hmmm
on what version were you before update?
The latest you provided: 5.0.0.77
hmm. Now I had it connected to USB and rebooted successfully. No clue why that would make a difference.
Confirmed: it’s running 5.1.0.11 now. (NO reinstall)
Hmm @carmenfdezb experienced similar issue where it was bootlooping for 10 minutes then booted fine
weird ![]()
On reboot it again needed three attempts to boot successfully.
On the plus side: it does reboot quickly now. The timeout seems to be gone.
It’s not entirely gone, I yeeted one service that was stuck and refusing kill -9 that cut it in half, but there’s still some optimization left to be done, it should be turning off in 10s not 30
Waydroid does not start after upgrade to 5.1. Any advice
Waydroid after update not working with the following. … (which used to work)
mount /home/waydroid/images/system.img /mnt/waydroid/
ln -s /vendor_extra/etc/media_profiles_vendor.xml /mnt/waydroid/system/etc/
umount /mnt/waydroid/
@carmenfdezb mentioned something about starting apps with waydroid-runner but not sure what that means as i don’t use waydroid
As @Mister_Magister mentioned, you have to start waydroid with waydroid-runner app
I reboot my phone when it happens that and then it works for me
I’ve installed waydroid runner from chum
It helps me: devel-su systemctl stop dnsmasq.
^^ Thanks, but both tips not working. How do I deinstall and reinstall waydroid in a proper way? In terminal.
…are you on 5.1. ? Since upgrade it doesn’t help me anymore.
