On a What's App video call sound comes through the earpice speaker

UI LANGUAGE: Français (user: fr_FR, os: fr_FR.utf8)

DESCRIPTION:

A video call on What’s App is inaudible because the sound comes through the earpice speaker. I didn’t tested on Signal or Telegram.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Start a video call on What’s App
  2. Listen to the earpice speaker

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Sounds comes through the usual speakers

ACTUAL RESULTS:

Sounds comes through the earpice speaker

MODIFICATIONS:

  • Patchmanager: yes
  • OpenRepos: yes
  • Chum: no
  • Other: none specified

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

As workaround I could use a Bluetooth headset as this bug has been solved

Thanks for reporting. Yes, the sound is directed to the earpiece, indeed.
That does not make sense for a video call.

I made an entry about this to the Jolla Bugzilla.
