I upgraded my Sony Xperia 10 to Sailfish OS 4.5.0.18 and now all android apps (Element, Telegram, Chessapp, …) have no sound and no microphone input. Native apps work fine. Any idea how to troubleshoot this? Thanks!

Microphone and speaker work in my X10 / 4.5.0.18 (I tested right now). App is ‘Echo Link’ (Amateur radio app).
Maybe try to deinstall and reinstall the Android app support on your X10?
