I got the same issue and fixed it by completely removing AAS as I mentioned here
It will of course wipe all android apps and their configurations.

Hi,
for me it works with/since sfos update 5.0.0.55 on C2.
I couldn’t surf with Fennec outside before, now it works and even banking apps work when I’m not in wifi.
BUT I had to hard remove Appsupport (also to get spoofing working correctly for banking).
I also realized that my Android would be always in English even if I switch SFOS to let’s say German. Now after reinstalling appsupport my Android is in German (check in android settings page). Maybe thats related and shows a wrong configuration between sfos and android?
I also dont have to toggle wifi on/off, mobile on/off or restart appsupport it just works actually even better than under sfos 4.* on my Sony
It works now for me.
I stopped AppSupport, disabled SIM 1, enabled SIM 1, started AppSupport.
Thank you, I can confirm this method worked for my C2 as well!
i can confirm that Tidal and Songsterr do not work on C2 with 5.0.55 on mobile data only
Is it just me, but for me AAS sometimes has better mobile connection then the SFOS Layer, maybe its also connected with the browser update. I load webpages and there are taking forever. I sometimes get them to work by changing the network to 2G or restarting the network. But it is not always working, maybe its also the pages i am loading, and they have a lot of advertising, webvideos and so on. Someone has similar problems!? Thanks in advance
Greetings
Sadly, I could not reproduce this solution the next day. So far, it worked for me only once and I’m back to square one.
Slightly off topic but yesterday wifi woukd not work for sailfish until reboot.
This ends in some permutations

I have to redo it after every boot. I open the settings and wait till AppSupport runs, then I disable and enable SIM 1. After that it works every time.
Thank you for the detailed description. For some reason it’s different in my case and I can’t seem to get it to work anymore.
Will have to investigate switching the sim cards again…
Edit: Are you using both SIM slots?
I only have one SIM inserted in slot 1, but both SIM slots are enabled in the sailfishos seettings.
I have found a solution for people with two SIM cards:
You have to turn off App Support, disable SIM 1, enable SIM 1, disable SIM 2, enable SIM 2, turn on App Support again.
If cellular data was already enabled, you might have to disable it as well, then enable again, then everything works.
A bit tedious but for the moment I am glad there is a reproducible, reliable way.
Edit: typo
I have the problem that all Android apps do not have internet with mobile data (5.0.0.62 on C2). Did I understood it well, if I have only one Sim card there is no possibility to have mobil data with app support?
I have one SIM in SIM1 slot. The steps with 5.0.0.62 are
Before that I don’t have mobile data in AppSupport and after these 4 steps I always have mobile internet in all Android apps.
You can check it by tapping 5 times on the android version number in the AppSupport settings page. This opens the Android settings. then you click on the “Network & Internet” section if you can see a mobile provider there you are successful.
Thank your quick reply, but I’m too stupid to disable the Sim 1 (message occur: minimum one Sim must be activated). Please explain, how to disable/enable a Sim Card.
You have to first activate the 2nd sim card. Then you can deactivate the first
and then activate the 1st again and deactivate the second (or maybe leave it on i dont know the benefit).
I have also experinced these problems on the C2 and the AAS where the connectivity through mobile data sometimes breaks and is at times painful to get back.
However, I think I understood what the problem might be and how to recover if it happens.
I think the AAS cannot keep up with the native layer if you change between WiFi and mobile data or between different providers (SIMs) for mobile data.
For me, with 2 SIM cards those 4 steps by @hschmitt were not enough to get mobile data for AAS to work after it was lost.
But I found a simple fix in the end (no need to restart AAS and disable and re-enable SIMs):
Go to the AAS settings and tap the verion number 5 times to get to further details/settings.
While there, go to the Network & Internet settings and make sure you have the same (if using multiple SIMs) operator’s connection selected as on the native Sailfish side’s settings.
Then go to the SIM-card settings and more specifilally to that SIM card’s settings that you are using on the native side and make sure that mobile data is enabled (mine wasn’t) there.
After this I got the mobile data connectivity for AAS back online.
So, I think these problems could be avoided if the native settings would “command” the corresponding AAS settings more closely
Hello friends,
After installing app suport for android and microG, I’ve started the android setting via terminal app by writing devel-su -p apkd-launcher com.android.settings
i hope this will help others with jolla C2
Welcome rastau. You do have 5.0.0.62 installed, right? As that works for a few versions on C2. At least for most of us.
Very nice finding nonetheless!
Right, I have 5.0.0.62.
