Better late than never: The phone still has the same issue, even after updating to SFOS 5.x.
My assumption is that it somehow is an hardware problem as it is also suffering from the touchscreen issues (see 4th Xperia 10 unresponsive screen ).
I’ve switched to a X10 III, so the problem is no longer really relevant
