Isn’t that like software issue? Yottagram calls have no such issues
I 100% agree with you, sfos doesn’t need that much performance because you’re getting nothing out of it, thats why I was looking more into midend phones

I’m interested and excited to hear about new ports of brand new phones. I was wondering what’s the difference in terms of performance with the op6? Is from an user perspective the change worth it?
Unless you need volte? absolutely not worth it lol
apps will launch 0.1s faster and instead of running 100 apps at the same time you’ll be able to run 200 apps at the same time, while most people top out at 10
actually I can live without volte as I use s1p and is voip (even if the codecs are not very good). Well as you know I develop games and like to squeeze the gpu, I would be more interested to know about a comparison of framerate of my games between the two, just in case anyone has both and want to test it feel free to let me know. My guess is there is not such a big leap but that would be the only thing that interest me (GPU performance) rather than volte.
In any case, the thing I’m interested on should not be what others are interested on and I’m glad to hear about new devices, keep the work up!
If i’m not mistaken, the 3 phones of option 8 (Edge 50 Neo / S50 / ThinkPhone 25) have baseline 200+ Gb storage (maybe SD card doesnt matter much then?), and smaller screens (under 6.5’), less ‘‘controversial’’ for the usual screen size warriors…
Maybe they make some sense in that regard? Availability matters i guess. Would Thinkphone 25 be more available (still one sale on official website for exemple) of the 3 phones of the option 8? I dont know which handset also is likely to be easy to get (more widely available) on the second hand market…
Makes also sense to wait for a handset that ticks all the boxes btw, before to throw hardwork…
It always will matter. There’s no excuse you can potentially came up with that could justify lack of microsd slot when my 2014 moto g2 has it. Not just the fact that you can put 1TB card, but you can quickly swap it or put it in a computer to transfer files quickly, of if you want to back up photos from camera or something. Like in my moto g2 i use microsd as sfos install so that I have more space
The three are basically same phone under different names thats why they’re as a single option
I made a quick research to compare gpu on both phones, for those performance nerds who are interested on such topics: the oneplus 6 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 10nm 710 mhz and 1866 MHz RAM speed while the moto g75 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 which has 4nm 800mhz GPU and 2750 MHz Ram speed. I have no clue how this translate into performance, it sounds interesting and would love to test it. My guess is we won’t see a big leap until NPU come into consumer hardware, anyway is a 5g device and have other interesting areas such as DDR5 instead of 4. I’m excited about the new port and would love to know about some benchmarks and impressions.
G75 of a flash sale:

the edge 50 neo has an excellent discount…
But only shipping within UK. If this phone gets ported, I will get one here in Germany via kleinanzeigen.de I guess.
a lot of the discussion on the 10v binary blobs thread points the finger at the sony AOSP software (as opposed to the 10v commercial software).
given that the 10vii looks to be a very creditable ‘little’ device:
How about the 10vii as the next gen VerdandiTeam phone…?
have you learned nothing from all the official jolla ports? hell no. sony phones are terrible
your call of course, but the phone handsets are fine (if a little overpriced for the price they sell at).
the software side seems to be a problem with AOSP, rather than the proprietary binaries.
first of all thanks for your g2 port.
second how nice of you to care about the murricans as they dont care about you.
moto g56 is quite cheap but as you say mediatek (but no idea how good mediatek stuff is to port).. Unfortunately like every phone nowadays also quite large
moto g75 is also very affordable and available but even bigger screen size (wtf 6.78". I once bought a nexus 7 tabel with 7" screen)
headphone jack would be nice (no idea if any recent phone has one)
last but not least, thanks again for your g2 sailfish port
I once ported it ![]()
would like to try (or postmarketos) but cant find that dawn thing (and I searched for hours)
(edit: but it was the nvidia nexus 7 not the qualcom one)
