Hello It tried ema and other software on linux. I succeeded on a professional Windows workstation. I tried emma on ub family windows station but it didn’t work. the teleohone was not recognized. Well now it’s good I prepared with emma and restarted SOS. I thought the camera was working. Still not
No, there was no update for 10IV/V, so there is no update that can make the camera work. What we know is, there has been made some progress in development. But I wouldnt expect that it will make the camera work with the next update.
I tried the bob v4b so that the battery charge is taken into account. I tried sfos version 4.06 at the time and then 5.061. It was my main use. but I had to give up. It didn’t work very well. I reflashed it to Android 15. I find that it works well. I’m going to put my sim in. And we’re going to see the fact that biometrics doesn’t work, it doesn’t bother me, so it’s like C2. The camera a little more. But I prefer an sfos without camera than a google.Android. Is there another blob that we can flash!
Unfortunately not. V4b seems to be the best option at the moment.
Due to lack of battery my phone turned off. So far this is normal when restarting and after recharging it is in Airplane mode. I deactivate airplane mode and it tells me no more SIM card. I restart it. Airplane mode is always on I turn it off. : Message no sim card. After several reboots, I decide not to turn off airplane mode. And to my great surprise, the phone is functional, you can call and surf, while airplane mode is activated.
Sounds familiar. What happens if you toggle from settings?
In my mind i remember that you have to use flashing mode (with green light) for Emma, not fastboot (blue light)…
Did jolla share any progress about those devices since they annouced (Some long time ago) that they working on camera etc and big problems with fingerprint?
It really seems their focus is 100% new jolla phone…
Yeah, I gave up. I preorderd a J2 phone and sold on eBay my 10V. ~£100 loss, bought it almost 2 years ago March 2024. I was well aware that porting will take some time but 2 years is long enough for me to wait. Especially with the announcement of a “Jolla phone” where there shouldn’t be any compatibility problems due to porting, I saw little point in waiting for 10V porting efforts to complete. I had a dual - (physical) SIM device, so that would have taken more hacks and work to be enabled. Also by installing the XQDC-54 SFOS I couldn’t get any sim card slot at all to be recognised so things didn’t look good. In the meantime the 10III still works fine so I should be ok for now, but I really hope that J2 won’t be plagued with problems.
Yeah, I’m weighing up selling my 10 V when my C2 arrives. I don’t really see the point in owning a paperweight
I hope you mean J2, because if you are waiting for a C2 to replace your V, I’d highly recommend you swap your V with the III!
One thing I must say, if all the specs of new jolla device would realize performance-wise it will smash 10V to bits, but I’m careful after C2 as it should smash 10 II, compete with 10 III but in reality struggled to match old XA2.
I’ll keep my 10V port or no port as 10V is really nice android platform and this is the thing I have to go with. After struggling with many bugs of sfos for years I switched back to android and all problems are no more.
I really would like to see SFOS mature to the point it can compete with android, but as of right now, other than fantastic GUI, sfos lags behind anything market has to offer.
Answers about this already have been given in recent posts.
In short yes camera and mic work. They are getting tested now against new blobs.
No, they have not. Camera and mic are not working (for users). Part of the question is, will they work with the next update or is the work on that still “wip”? A pretty acceptable question even if the answer is “we are full with work on J2 and nothing happens here in the next x weeks”.
Yes they did.
Here is some extacts from the previous Community meetings:
rainemak #info Jolla We’ll get back to this with the dedicated topic that we promised
rainemak #info Jolla earlier. We know that we get camera working, battery indicator
rainemak #info Jolla working, maybe some others as well. Fingerprint is a hard nut to
rainemak #info Jolla crack – frankly it’s very likely something that won’t happen.
rainemak We are testing new blobs and integration.
mal I’m about to test some fix related to suspending with new blobs
mal and also aidl volte support has been implemented
mal sensorfw and volte are not yet integrated
mal no, I added support to jolla volte plugin independently from the open plugin
Please read what you quoted again, and then again the question from AlmuHS.
The say, they know that they get the camera working - not they got the camera working. Basically it is not working on any device, that we as a community are holding in our hand. So at least for this topic the question (what is the status about that) is absolutely fair. And about the AIDL, sensorfw, and the suspending, and the testing against the new blobs - there is no update yet since a few weeks. So it is again fair to ask, “what is the status”.
And even if they would have said (for example): “We got the camera working” - it does not include all cameras, switching between cameras, working autofocus, stable camera support, camera support for AAS and so on. So the answer could still be: “working camera is there, but not ready for release yet”…..
So AlmuHS’s question is NOT already answered. It has been answered for the status one or two month ago, but not for the new year and what will be included in the upcoming update (and they probably know, because it was announced on 01.08. in the community news that the next update will arrive in the cbeat-group in the next days).
Clearly, yet another time there’s not even a word regarding the 10 IV / V port. Which is really sad, considering that in 4 months we’ll be celebrating the 2nd anniversary of Jolla announcing it (at the Jolla Love Day 2 in May 2024) as coming in August 2024. This utter lack of communication is more than just disrespectful.
In the last community news there have been some progress noticed about the development for the 10iv and 10v - will them be included in this update or do we have to wait for a later update?
If them are included in this update it would be great if this devices get the update as an middle between cbeta- and ea-release. It would bring a few more early-testers for the development for the AAS-Update and we can see the progress about this adaption.
If you mean the person I was replying to, I don’t really blame them for wanting to raise this issue again. Communication hasn’t been great on Jolla’s part
Guess what kind of list you belong to.
Where “currently” actually means 17 months passed since August 2024 (when full commercial support was announced to come out), during which all the information they bothered to provide about it hasn’t exceeded 100 words in total, which is probably the biggest fu**up in their history.
The current status is that in early November 2025 they said that “they are thinking about completely different approaches by enabling Sony Xperia 10 IV/V through an “officially supported community port”, and after 3 months since then they are apparently still thinking, considering that creators of the best community ports say that no one even discussed anything with them so far.
P.S. Congratulations (for being such optimists) to those who keep beliving that in 2026 Sony would still bother to provide any fixed 10 IV/V blobs while they’re about to introduce the 10 VIII, i.e. 4 generations (and 4 years) ahead.
