New binaries / blobs for Xperia V and IV : What is happening actually?

It all works except:

  • The camera doesn’t work
  • The torch (flash) doesn’t work
  • The finger print scanner doesn’t work
  • The battery indicator doesn’t work unless you use v4b blobs
  • The 3.5mm jack doesn’t work
  • The microphone can only be used for traditional audio phone calls, it doesn’t work for anything else (e.g. Whatsapp, Telegram, recording apps, etc)
  • You get occasional freezes requiring a reboot
  • Reboots can take up to 4 or 5 minutes
  • Mobile data is unreliable unless you use v4b blobs
  • Using Flightmode disables the SIM card requiring multiple reboots and settings contortions to get it back
  • The screen brightness is very poor and unusable in bright sunlight when compared to Android on the 10v
