New binaries / blobs for Xperia V and IV : What is happening actually?

Whether anyone tried to use LOS as a base. I did, but for Xperia 1IV. … and it works really well!

But story goes as follows. Last fall, I decided to make new port for Xperia 1IV Nagara. As Jolla, I used SODP as a base. For Nagara, this turned out to be a nightmare. I managed to somehow compile it (wasn’t easy as there were constantly some bugs) and got mainly a heating device that couldn’t call, nor do many other expected functions. Basically, useless unless you count out heating function in cold winter.

Now, Nagara, if you look at LOS devices page, doesn’t have official LOS release. Nor it didn’t have unofficial either. So, I ported LOS21 to nagara first. Its still not released as LOS devs want to release LOS22, but it forms a base for SFOS port. We are getting close to release with the current state described at GitHub - sailfishos-sony-nagara/main: Documentation, releases, and issues . I am currently using it as a main device and resolving some bugs that I encounter.

So, in short, yes - it is possible and I would expect it to have way better hardware support than SODP based solution. I could be wrong and SODP may catch up one day.
