Thanks, but the XA2 has been made obsolete by the networks, since it does not support emergency calls over VoLTE. There seems little point trying to repair it 
i have heating problem that come from android app. It was running and battery goes fast empty and sony xperia 10 II was very warm. I close the app and reboot phone. No more problem. The program was “SOLARMAN Smart” app. Solarpanel program
I cannot find an Xperia 10 III for reasonable money so I have to try and fix my XA2 instead. I noticed in dmesg that it’s spamming these messages over and over, many times per second:
usbpd usbpd0: Type-C Sink connected
PMI: smblib_get_apsd_result: APSD not done yet.
usbpd usbpd0: USB Type-C disconnect
set_prop is inhibited because typec is not present
This is likely related to the problems I’m having, but what does it mean? Screenshot captured just after a clean boot, with mobile data disabled (though not in flight mode), and nothing connected to the USB-C port. Any ideas?
What’s the price you’re looking for? I know a couple in decent shape available for 50 € in EU.
This is probably due to a faulty USB-C port. It could also be caused by dirt or oxidation in the connector.
To try and rule this possibility out as far as possible, you could start by blowing dry air (computer cleaner) into the connector and attempting to remove any oxidation (the hardest part will be finding the right tool… I imagine a soft-bristled toothbrush, for example, but I’ve never tried it).

Sure? Every device I owned has been spewing out some sort of error message non-stop. A different one right now. Do you have reason to believe that this message specifically is related to your problem?
a 10 III for sure? Not a 10 II? Cause I got mine very recently and I saw nothing that cheap, in working order.

On smaller markets, there’s less interest, hence prices can be lower.
Of course, I’ve seen people try to sell their ancient bricks for a lot more. Key word being “try”, those ads just remain there idle forever.

Local marketplaces are the way to go: in this region, tori.fi, Yaga, FB Marketplace etc etc
