Neat feature in battery charge control panel

I have my XA2 set to charge only to certain level, and routinely after some time I would manually charge to 100% to recalibrate battery status in software.

Today while I was trying to do the latter, which consisted of a chain of actions – disable battery thresholds, charge fully, reenable them back – I spotted a neat feature, a checkbox “This time charge fully” (this is translated back to English from my native language so YWMV), which is reset after boot.

Thanks to all parties involved in adding this.

Do you use the native option or Battery Buddy?

This is a built-in “one time” setting in Settings > Battery.

Ah, an important note – the option is only visible when the device is connected to a power source. It disappears when USB cable is disconnected.

Just because I came across this just now: looks like this would do the same thing, just scriptable:

mcetool --set-charging-mode=<enable|disable|apply-thresholds|apply-thresholds-after-full>
