Mullvad VPN not working on my Sony Xperia 10 m3 running Sailfish OS 4.6

I am unable to secure my connection on my phone, Sony Xperia 10 m3 running a SailfishOS
I tried also to use plain WireGuard and see if that worked better, but it keeps on crashing.
Then I contacted the Mullvad guys, and they told me that they had talked to their Android developers and it seems like the VPN permission dialog is removed from the phone or the ROM which causes the crash.
Can you help me with this, please?

Just forget about VPN configuration apps on SFOS. It; WiFi config, Bluetooth and NFC is not available to the Android runtime. Just use the actual OS settings to configure the VPN (and search before posting).

As said before, Android VPN-Apps don’t work on SailfishOS. But you can still connect to a VPN by using native SailfishOS. In Settings, there is the option “VPN” where you can set up multiple different VPN technologies. If you want to use WireGuard, I wrote a tutorial here (also using Mullvad)
