Update, we’re at 269.73 … and a note, libre pay takes 60 cents on 10 euro, so direct friends and family on paypal or sepa is more efficient

I kinda don’t understand how - you can’t pull money out of an IBAN, can you? And for companies, at least in Czechia, it’s a public information anyway.

If you can get a ‘mandate’ you can. It’s not an unknown trick, but, generally kept at bay by only being possible for a business account (institution, etc.) to obtain a mandate. Given how many on-line market places there are, it’s not possible for the banks to police the legitimacy of every mandate. So, there is a real, if small, danger.

Dear poetaster, Is there a possibility to send some money on a german account? I don’t like paypal and have no other accounts. Kind regards Jürgen
I use “Wise Card” (similar to Revolut, only with a fully functional Web interface), app still works on my C2 an I can add every currency. I think for Switzerland one gets a swiss IBAN.

Thank you, I’ll check that out. Revolut will probably ban me anyway, because they want me to confirm some personal data but then direct me to their app to do so, which they’ve now made inoperable on my phone.
I wish banks would be replaced by Bitcoin (or some better cryptocurrency) already.
