I could not find said dashboard. You probably have to log in first to see it. I was unaware of “Mobile ID”, the website tells it’s a Swiss solution, but I didn’t find out what problem it solves. I am very sorry, of course this is of no help. But what exactly gets tested by testing a “Mobile ID” that way? What do you want to achieve? Is this Sailfish OS related in any way?

For a better understanding of Mobile ID problem, look here:

I wanted to enable “Mobile ID”.

Sometimes the Mobile ID password request does not show up in SFOS and I need to reboot the phone for it to work again. Could be a regression since last OS update as I don’t remember having to do that before.
All in all, it works like a charm on my XA2 Plus and I’m very happy it works even with SFOS.
If I can help further be so kind to give clear and concise steps to help out.

I have tested my SIM card (Mobile ID version: 3.007) with a Sony Xperia X (Lineageos 18.1) and a Microsoft Lumia 950.
With both it works without problems.

@Maximilian1st What Mobile ID version do you have?

Excuse me, I was quite blank on this topic and wasn’t able to add anything but stupid questions. What I understand now is that you first need some special SIM which (if all goes well) triggers something in the phone('s OS). And it seems to be some kind of standard in some (or even many) countries in Europe. I have never heard of it, partly because life in the country I live in isn’t much “digitally enhanced”.

Exactly, Mobile-ID is a SIM-card based solution – so you need a service agreement with your mobile operator, and a specific SIM-card.
SIM Application Toolkit (part of GSM standard 11.14.) must be available on the device

What’s best: once activated, you can use it across devices. For example you may want to access your online bank via your computer, just start the logging in process by selecting Mobile-ID, type in your phone number and authenticate the request from your mobile phone.

When I trigger a Mobile ID login, the following happens:
A blank window appears on the mobile phone, when I swipe the window from top to bottom the SIM Toolkit app appears and the login fails.

blank window

SIM Toolkit app appears

If I then try again, this window appears briefly and the process fails again.

How can I create more trace/debug logs so someone can identify the error?

How can I check what version I am using?

Depending on the version, image 4 appears after image 2.

You are on the cutting edge and I’m lagging behind with Version 2.100

Is there perhaps a statement or instruction from Jolla on how I can debug this bug?

Estonian mobile ID works for me just fine, i simply close first emty window and after that appears pin 1 or 2 window. That kind of an oddity was there…allways?

Which Mobile ID version do you have?

Can’t check version on your way, if i tap on the icon, appears page, there is only ‘‘unblock’’ and ‘‘change codes’’ thats it.

Several year ago, in one of the first versions where the Estonian mobile ID worked, it worked fine without the first blank screen. After that it mostly works but often needs a restart for the phone and also I haven’t been able to change the pin-s.

I cross fingers I won’t need to change SIM card in the near future.

Does no one here know how to analyze, find a problem / error in ofono-stk (simkit)?

The fact is that my SIM (Mobile ID) works on other and older OS (Symbian, Windows Mobile and Lineage OS).
