Mobile data issue for a2mobile

OS VERSION: 4.5.0.19
HARDWARE: Sony Xperia XA2
UI LANGUAGE: English
REGRESSION: yes

DESCRIPTION:

Mobile data is all the time with ‘Limited connectivity’ when using card from a2mobile, in fact it is unusable. Checked with Play SIM - works. On 4.5.0.16 it was working well. Also a2mobile SIM card works fine with the other phone.

PRECONDITIONS:

a2mobile SIM card and latest Sailfish OS.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Insert a2mobile SIM card.
  2. Turn on the phone.
  3. Enable mobile data.

EXPECTED RESULT:

Working mobile data.

ACTUAL RESULT:

Mobile data is almost not working (in a few cases it is working very slowly).

Thanks for the report, could you take some logs about the problem since we don’t have SIM to test with?

oFono logs would be good to have, but also the basic logs might reveal something -thanks!

Thanks for the logs, internal bug report created.

After a few months I have started to experiment with the settings from scratch. Turns out that at the time of the update Alternate DNS probably started to malfunction, so changing to any other DNS provider (Quad9 and NextDNS tested) resolved the issue.
