HI
I have a weird problem, none of my media files on the SD card is shown in media player or gallery.
I have searched the localsearch database, and all the media files on the card is in the database!
A search on –images or –music-albums shows the expected files.
Even new images taken with the jolla-2026 to the sd card, is not shown.
If I copy the files to the main memory, they are shown immediately.
Re-indexing of the database does not help.
Any ideas?
Please have a good read of this thread:

It’s just as unsolved as yours but hopefully it will help you to take steps to narrow it down or find commonalities etc.
FWIW, I just tested with 2 images and they were immediately picked up by localsearch.

Thanks I have seen this bug report, but my card is unencrypted, the files has been indexed (they are in the database) they are just not shown before or after a reboot.

After several resets of the localsearch database and a couple of reboots, the mediafiles suddenly appeared in gallery and media player, some hours after last database reset.
I cannot guess why, as I have installed and configured many apps in the mean time.
I’m closing this thread.
Yeah some SFOS services are very slow and/or it is unclear if a service reload is ever triggered without a reboot.
This might have an impact on that other thread as well.
