Maximum brightness not restoring after turning off screen or dimming screen

DESCRIPTION:

The maximum brightness of the screen is nt restored after turning of the phone or the screen gets dimmed.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1.Set the brightness to maximum in display settings
2.Turn off the screen
3. Turn the screen back on

EXPECTED RESULTS:

The maximum screen brightness should be reached.

ACTUAL RESULTS:

The screen is dimmed, turning the brightness to a lower value and back to maximum restores the maximum brightness. Switching from manual to automatic brightness adjustment also fixes this issue.

Are you using the “Adjust brightness automatically” setting? (sorry, you’ll need to translate to German, but it’s basically the first setting under Display). If “yes” (or “ja” :laughing: ), then what you describe is pretty much expected and not a bug.

No i don’t use it, but it doesn’t makes a difference. The behaviour is the same.
