If the need is only point-to-point on local LAN, relaying is not needed and can be disabled in the settings, but I agree it would have been better as an opt-in setting rather than opt-out.
You are also able to set your own encryption password for the transfers.

I opted for the nextcloud solution on proxmox on PC at home, with VPN wireguard always active… On proxmox I also have immich, bitwarden, home assistant, cloudflare for an app to manage darts tournaments (which runs in docker always on proxmox)… I don’t have any external service, except email but I think I’ll bring that home too

If, for example, there had been a short flashing warning arrow on the screen pointing to the fingerprint area as soon as he turned the phone on, the guy wouldn’t have spent 10 minutes trying to get his fingerprint to work. I laughed so much watching it, it was genuinely surprising

I think a 5450mAh battery should easily last about a day and a half with normal daily social media use.
I’m a zoomer. So a day max. I need to have Telegram (3 accounts), WhatsApp, Discord, Signal, TikTok, YouTube and YT Music at the same time in AAS.

I’m Gen Z too, so I think the problem is pretty clear now. It’s because you’re opening the apps one after another and keeping all of them running at the same time. As far as I know, SFOS doesn’t seem to balance CPU usage the way iPhones do, so most apps just stay actively running. It reminds me of the Nokia N9 days 
Since they didn’t manage all those apps in a balanced way at all, the battery used to drain like water. Looks like it’s the same problem here.

Is there any easy way to see if this is true for native apps? I always keep 5 native app open so that the icon side is always the same, but have thought that battery usage feels quite high
The problem is that the lipstick process has (always had) memory leaks and permanently consumes extreme amounts of CPU (talking about 15% and more) once you start opening several apps, and it never goes down - even if you close all apps, shut down all services and wait patiently - until you reboot. The apps themselves in comparison barely consume any CPU, most of them settle down to under 0.5%.

It is! There already is some dedicated localised topics, so do create one, if you need it. 
Just make sure that topic it’s self is in English and telling that posts is in a foreign language, so the rest of us can avoid it.

I had Jolla 1, Xperias, Community phone, and now have J2.
And I must say, the J2 really feels like the J1. And compared to the community phone, I really can use it as daily driver: it is about the Android integration, especially with Bluetooth and MicroG.
From hardware perspective the campera is much better than I thought and the fingerprint sensor works quite well.
The only thing which really does not work is Whatsapp - seems to be my account - and an app, for which I will need a bug fix. For former, there is now a native app, which really helps a lot!
So - cool - @Jolla that you are back on track!
