Thanks @ThijssjihT for initiating the discussion. I’ll be coming from the North (current capital city of EU culture) by train but most likely just for the event day on the 8th of July. I’m familiar to Helsinki to some extent and happy to join whatever is going on before the official program. Meeting in Helsinki or Espoo prior the event for a coffee or lunch is something I would look forward and of course the Jolla Phone 1 celebration.

Look at the Tallink Silja and Viking Line options from Stockholm through Ahvenanmaa (Âland) to Turku (Åbo) and the Finnlines - finnlines.com - options from Kapellskär through Ahvenanmaa to Naantali (Nådendal) near Turku.
If you’re not in a hurry you could spend a day in Ahvenanmaa - all companies have day and night ferries; Tallink and Finnlines stop at Långnäs, Viking has some stopping in Långnäs, some in Maarianhamina (Mariehamn).
From Turku you could drive to Helsinki via Salo to see where your phone comes from, or via Tampere to see Jolla HQ, Tampella and Rajaportin sauna (Struven ketju is in the wrong direction), well worth the extra two hours of driving.

Maybe I have to correct my comment above. I got the option for the Day 1 event ticket on my batch 3 order and just went for it. I am still not entirely sure if this was just a queue slot or the actual ticket to the event but maybe I’ll also have to look into revisiting Helsinki soon enough

It appears I managed to get a ticket for the event, even as bottom of the barrel batch 3 order. So I’d be certainly interested in joining that tour.

Hallo , question about the jolla day 1 tickets ,how do you know if you got one.
Clicking the link to complete your order shows you the phone at the top. Scrolling a bit, right below pay with PayPal it’s the ticket for 0€.
If you didn’t add it to your cart, you didn’t claim it.
And if you did claim and can’t go, Jolla says to let them know to allocate your ticket to someone else.
