As a workaround, not sure if this still works, there were phone codes (USSD) where you could set this kind of setting directly at the network level.

According to Wikipedia it should be: # 31 #

actually it is *31# to show my caller ID

Tbh I’m confused by the wording… “Suppressing the transmission of caller’s phone number (CLIR)” and then “switch on” is *31#. It is possible that Wikipedia is incorrect here, because the row below (for the numbers) it is the other way round.

anyway dial *31# after boot is much faster than waiting for retrieve info from network and then then seting Yes in Settings → apps → phone → Show my caller ID

as this works fine on older Xperias/SF5.1 or JP-1/SF1 this should be fixed asp  thanks @jolla @rainemak

You shouldn’t have to dial it every reboot. This code should set it parmanently at the network level…

Yes it should be, i am not sure but GUI maybe setting this by dailing codes?
Anyway I have to dail it. After reboot it does not sending my caller id, in the phone app is again Set by network, after dialing *31# settings changes to Yes. So maybe when phone is registering to netwok the phone is sending default value what is Set by network?
