I thought this warning was pretty funny ![]()
Looks familiar (on the Xperias) - however, I expected the new browser being somewhat more up to date.
It’s a known issue. The forum software has been pinned to a version that certifiably is still supported by the SFOS browser.
The browser situation itself is a complicated one.
Did you try searching first?
There must be 5 of these threads by now.
Aren’t you getting tired writing the same replies over and over? ![]()
It’s also meaningless in todays reality. Any browser is soon obsolete. And any software for that matter.
How long is “soon”? (we are used to “soon”, aren’t we?)
So will be humans. No need to upgrade ![]()
Of course there is a need for an upgrade. Browser and humans😉.
Is it really an upgrade though? I miss the time when an n900 with 256mb physical RAM could handle 90% of web pages including those playing video.
Yes browsers and web pages can do a lot more these days, but not all of that extra functionality is progress.
I would argue that most of the current state of the art is anything but progress. Just massive over-complication and dependency hell.
Or maybe fight with intrusive ads. And zero day stuff.
For intrusive Ads there are other solutions - and zero day stuff is probably best handled by less, not more complexity and dependencies.
It is, but I assume the forum software is pretty picky about the versions and does not recognize ESR versions.

Soon is on there for the Xperia 10 III for 3 years now I think. ![]()
