Orange, received at Jolla Day 1 event.
From quick gallop it seems that Day1 and orange seems to be common factor here, which is kind of relieving to hear!
Many people are, you should be aware. I am one of them (retired with a very poor pension) and I had to dig a deeep hole in my pocket to get my desired Jolla phone.
Shame on you, to think everybody is as wealthy as you.
Well, Finnish nay sayers have been bashing phone from start that it wont have success. I thik because these nay sayers are mostly visionless people and want others be as miserable as they!
Can you see the installed gasket if you shine with a flashlight into the camera hole?
I checked mine and it looks like there some kind of spacer between the camera and the glass back side.
The reason we see it with Day1 phones is that dust had the time to build up. The others that had the phone delivered havenât had the phone for that long of a time. Time will tell I guess.
I have also dust inside front camera. From Jolla Phone Day1, colour: Orange
Thereâs a very, very easy way to figure this out, of course, if you can test it on a phone. Apply a very light amount of air pressure with your mouth through the microphone opening; if moisture appears around the camera, then itâs definitely coming from there. Or blow through the phoneâs upper earpiece opening, and it should become very easy to determine exactly where the problem is. Am I wrong?

Should them be qualified as poor or not poor?, is JP2 expensive or not expensive?, do poor people deserve respect? Interesting questions.
But yes, here, many families live with not even 3 or 4 JP2 per month. (and we are in a rich country)
So yes, many people are âreally so poorâ.
I personally live with a (several, to be honest) 50⏠SFOS phone since 4 years. And am happy.
Not being able to imagine that people can be âsoâ poor⌠must be a provocative joke.
Not sure here is the right place for such jokes, you decide.

Not to mention many of us regulars live in western or northern Europe, where the average salary (and pension) is significantly higher than in other countries, even within Europe. And averages are also based on lows, and privacy-minded people tend not to be part of the most affluent parts of society. numbeo.com can be a good reality check sometimes, @unmaintained.
Apologies for going off-topic, by the way!
Sorry, I thought this whole âEuropoorsâ debate online was just a stupid joke.
My apologies if itâs actually real and I might have offended someone.
What I meant to say is that a (Sailfish) phone is a device we interact with every day and will hopefully serve us for many years. Plus, there arenât many other Linux phones around, so it might be worth spending a bit more than what the hardware alone would seem to be worth.
But we donât see it happening with black phones it seem. As Jolla explained they have assembled phones in batches and day1 orange and black were different assembly batches
I discovered that the J2 here in Australia is the same price as a new iPhone 17. So Iâm saving for mine. Whatâs important for me is the value for money of the J2, which is very high!
Canât wait to get it
Some dust inside the front camera
Received: During Jolla Phone Day1 launch event
Colour: Orange

Is this right topic to post that opinion. If you donât want buy J2 so donât, buy that iPhone then.
I think that this topic is just better be for those who tell what J2 is dust inside front camera. If everybody post here what comes mind Jollaâs people is very hard to find what batches are missing seal.
Sorry folks, I try to keep off OT but I have to make this comment regarding value for money:
I have a pretty new iPhone but I never use it (at times, I even forget recharging it once in a while). So basically, the iPhone has no value at all for me - worst value for money ever.
Iâm saying the J2 is great value for money, not iPhone ![]()
Highly appreciated! That wasnât that clear - at least to me. Value is quite subjective. For some really owning the phone (as with the Jolla Phone) is important, for others the golden-cage-no-worries eco system.
