This would be very fine!
It has to be said that 1’000 smartphones is not a lot 
It depends on perspective. I’d say that it’s not a small investment to buy inventory for production. I estimate about more then 100 - 200 k€ in material only.
Imho not necessary, there are more than enough factories in the world for producing cellphones. As I read, the cooperation with Reeder went fine.
