Jolla C2 Community Phone deliveries

Received my C2 today.

It was switched off and charged at 48%

Charged up to 80% before switching on

At the first start-up, I dared to choose the language (German), thereafter entered and confirmed a 6 digit security code (that replaces the default security code), did not skip connection to local Wi-Fi but instead connected to Wi-Fi, signed up to my Jolla account, installed all suggested apps and waited until the set-up wizard finished and the tutorial appeared. I skipped (closed) the tutorial and updated to 5.0.0.21 via settings menu.

The automatic reboot during installation of 5.0.0.21 was the first reboot.

Everything went fine and as expected

The hardware looks and feels better than expected (my expectations were low, admittedly)

The device feels slower the Xperia 10iii

C2 arrived today, switched off with 97% battery.
Still plugged it in during bootup just in case, chose English UK as suggested and a longer alphanumeric passphrase.
I braced myself with various plans B but connecting to Wi-Fi and my Jolla account was effortless.
I went through the whole tutorial out of magical thinking - well, the apps had to install anyway; App Support took longest and I waited patiently.
Finally, I activated Developer Mode in case something happens and updated to 5.0.0.21 - everything went smoothly and I’m looking forward to tinkering with my future daily driver on the weekend!

I have now followed my phone sent to me, and back to Tampere (actually a shorter distance than from south to norht within Sweden). My question is, why the fuck does it have to take more then a week, one way?
I’m old enough to remember when postal parcels took maximum 2 days from Sweden to Finland (In fact, the Swedish ‘Posten’ (The world’s first/oldest postal service) had as a proud hallmark, that all mail would arrive within a day), so my question is why we accept this procedure?
Do we have to? Of course not.
We should demand that our shipping companies actually do their job as quickly as they did in the 80s, 90s and 00s, not to mention long before that. In fact, there is no other reason for the deterioration than their greedy profit maximization

HELP i received the device with battery charge to 0 ZERO ;

like the instruction i have plugin to charger and the device automatically started on;
it have asked me the language,
have cripeted the file system and
at the moment to insert the pin, the charge of battery was not suffucient , the mobile go off .

i have wait the 100% of charge and try to boot other time. but the system stoping on the language choseing

File an issue at Zendesk and send it back to Jollyboys, Reflash is the only way out.

excuse me for the question, the cover protection and the screen protection are included on the box?

I’m just a user like you, I don’t work for Jolla.

They are not included. They are separate purchases made at the time of purchasing the Jolla C2, or if you are a 4G VoLTE tester then you would have gotten it for free.

No cause for excuse, but again, file an issue at Zendesk

well i a user 4G tiscali Italia. that can use VoLTE, o can sign like tester?

you should have received the screen protector and the case in the package outside of the box containing the phone

i suggest you mention that these items were missing when you contact zendesk and i’m sure they will send you the missing items when they return your phone to you

ok the box was open, i have advise that to the shipper, inside only the mobile and the flier with instructions, nothing more.

I have see in the video a external keyboard, should be included in the box? or must be buy separately ? if it must be buy separately where i can found it?

Why would a phone come with an external keyboard, especially one that was not mentioned at the time of purchase?

You can use whatever keyboard you want.

Excuse me for my stupid questions, but how have wrote before; the package is arrived me open; also the cover and screen protection are not mentioned in the purchase, but e read here that should be included in the package; in my case not included, maybe someone take away in the transport from, i don’t know.
So should be no impossible to know what’s exactly must be included in the package.

have you some link where purchase to suggest me please? the model compatible for example.

You will not get the screen protector and the case if you are not registered volte tester.

Any Bluetooth keyboard and any keyboard that you can connect with a USB-C cable will work. There is no ‘specific model’ that’s compatible.

That’s not true. I’m not a VOLTE tester.

That seems to be the case.

Maybe I can help someone that missed the C2 boat.
I got mine but I’m not happy at all with it and won’t use it.
Filed a ticket in order to start the return process but perhaps someone wants to buy the phone from me.
