If anything, that would be better power handling. It is a battery thief of great proportions.
Yeah it eats chunks doesn’t it
Are you using the digital clock without seconds by any chance?
The main reason is the clock refreshes every second so it eats the CPU a lot
aah thanks… that’s the one thing I didn’t think about. I will try without seconds then.
Hello,
I received my C2 3 days ago ( in France) with battery fully charged . No problems at the first boot , entry a 8 pin codes , connecting wifi working , updating Sailfish os ok . Sometimes the phone is slow . Android app , aurora and F-droid with microG depot installed. Some of Android ap not working (like Flighradar24) because " services Google need an update. I haven’t had time to find a solution yet.
Actually not tested with SD card and sim card .
Fred.
You’ll probably need to install MicroG, look here for a guide if you find some android apps complain about Google Services
Hello,
I had already installed MicroG and another apps working great but not Flighradar24 .
not every app runs with microG
e.g. stuff that uses subscription like kurviger
Thank you for sharing this! I already forgot - and it will save me a lot of time! Must have bookmark!
In Jolla C2, the app only opens a white page and in my other phone “photo of the day” wallpaper is not working.
Something appears to be broken wrt to Signature Spoofing.
While Flightradar24 works fine on the X10III, as you report, it complains about Google Play Services needing to be updated or reinstalled on the C2
As in this post, the Self-Check fails with signature spoofing in 3 places in the micoG settings app, as does the Signature Spoofing Checker app
Just in case,
Once, I also had the Signature Spoofing Checker app red all the time.
Uninstall, reinstall, tweak, untweak, retweak, fiddle… Impossible.
… I just had forgotten to check the “Disable Android/AppSupport system package verification” in Settings → Android AppSupport.
Then, it just worked.
Tap on the text to enable the missing features.
Bugger Sailfish 5 must have broken an API, I’ll fix it if I ever get my own C2 working, mines stuck on the spinning circle at the moment.
Thanks for letting me know
Is this on the C2? I have done what you’ve both suggested @ric9k and @Ahtisilli and those boxes remain unchecked, and Flightradar24 won’t startup
Sometimes the battery depletes really fast on my C2, but this time 36 hours have passed and 38% still to go, nice
Stay unchecked?
Perhaps a bug?
In my case it was on an XA2.
Hi all,
am i the only one who ordered the c2 together with screen protector and protective sleeve and received only the phone?
Riccardo
I received notification on 31.10. That Jolla had registered the shipment. But I guess now I have to wait even longer
