Issue with MMS reception and sending

Hello,

I know I am not the only one but I didn’t find a definitive answer to the question so I ask again.

I have been using Sailfish fir some weeks now and at the beginning there was no problem to send or receiv photos. And suddendy one day it didn’t work anymore. I don’t know why, because I don’t remember having done anything special…

I have a Sony Xperia 10 Dual sim.

Does someone has an idea?

Perhaps your provider has discontinued the MMS service.

Here in Germany, for example:

Vodafone: “The service was discontinued on January 17, 2023, to modernize the network and save energy.”

Telekom: “Sending and receiving MMS messages on our mobile network will only be possible until June 30, 2026. After that, the MMS service will no longer be available.

Alternatively, you can exchange photos and messages via RCS Chat (messaging app).”

I need to turn off wifi and then restart data for my operator often easier to toggle flight mode.
Then try to get the mms i often need to toogle fligth mode or mobile data a couple of times for it to work and after that i can turn on wifi again.
Before i changed provider/ISP i never had any problems with mms even with wifi turned on.

Damn that sucks. Gave up on another service and effectively handed it to a non-EU 3rd party provider.
