I’m not interested in talking about this further (and indeed I will stop checking this thread after I post this), but what I will say is that this is an incoherent response that has nothing to do with what was being discussed and I hope others reading this won’t post such provocative, irrelevant and unconstructive nonsense in future.

That’s true, it has nothing to do with the original post, but that is only because you and the other fellow confuse and conflate different concepts and started a pointless argument because, for you, me saying “official” apparently also implies “release”.
It doesn’t. They are two different concepts.
Me, on the other hand, I can understand differences between words and don’t start discussions because someone used “official” and in my mind that word also means “release”.

Thanx for trying to stop the troll, but I fear there is just one thing which really stops a troll: Don’t feed it. The easiest way is to use the ignore list.

In my opinion he’s not a troll, in fact i also agree with some of his positions, especially the one on the jolla store
But in this case, he didn’t realize jolla is a company that faced bankruptcy two times, and now is runt by about 20 people, some of which even part time, and it has nor the money nor the firepower to do the work sony didn’t do (releasing a working aosp for those xperia in time), let alone adapt sailfish (whitout a base, what’s to adapt?)
I suppose when he’ll realize we’re not at google or apple he will understand how sailfish works…

I hope that you are right. But I doubt. The way he presents himself and even casts doubt on the statements of Jolla employees is not exactly a sign of insight. Let alone the way he is going on here without anyone having written anything again. So if he is not a troll, he is probably a child.
That there are valid critic points on some things like the Jolla store or Jolla’s transparency is another story. Even so, I have the feeling that at least regarding transparency there are improvements.
