Is Alexa or Google Assistant „Hands free“ voice control via locked device working on SFOS 5?

Hello guys,
i searched a little bit around but got no result if its working or not so i will ask here:

Is Alexa or Google Assistant „Hands free“ voice control via locked device working on SFOS 5?

If i understood it right, deep system integration is not possible (that’s fine for me, my main purpose will be to control my smart home devices from Openhab via voice)

And if it’s not working: Is there any other voice solution available where i can integrate my smart home devices from openhab?

thank you very much!

These devices are (seen as) real personal data-pumps spying on people’s most private detail.

Therefore -as SailfishOS in appreciated for its independence regarding big tech actors and effort on privacy, including no personal data stealing- there are few chances that many SFOS users are specialists in those devices.
However, I believe having read something about home automation control some time ago.
I’d recommend you to use the search tool for “Openhab” and “smart home”.

voice is the worst privacy offenders out there. even if you’re not using them, they are still spying and listening to your surrounding and private conversations.

If it was I’d consider meaningless the entire reason for having Android App Support sandboxed on a non-Android phone OS.

Please use an Android phone.

Sailfish is meant to become an alternative to Google and Apple. Of course it is not as advanced as the duopoly and it hasn’t all the features that these two have.
The advantage of Sailfish is: privacy. You are not tracked and your data are not traded. This surveillance made Google and Apple big and rich.
If you want to use Alexa why not buy a special device that supports that Alexa?

yeah, i do have another device which can do that. i only wanted to evaluate if i can do voice commands with sailfish-OS as well.

It don’t need to be google, apple or amazon, just wanted to evaluate the possibilities

I will check the hints from ric9k. I have also seen some self-trained voice KIs in the past, maybe i will experiment with that as well.

If someone has good ideas or maybe knows how to setup voice commands pretty easy over SFOS to something like openhab, please let me know.

Thanks for your input guys.
