Internet Radio app for Sailfish OS

hi there

i used AllRadio for some time but the App doesn’t work anymore. It seems, the connection to the source (radio-browser.info) is destroyed.

than i tried SailWave, which seems to be a clone of AllRadio with the same problem. Both (not working) apps are available in the Jolla Store…

isn’t there any willing developer to fix the issue of the App? I would if i could, but i don’t have a clue about things like this.

For what device are you searching? On openrepos there’s sailwave for aarch64…

@francko Did this appear after an upgrade to new SFOS version?

On ‘old’ SFOS (4.5.0.24) AllRadio still works! Here and now, tested one minute ago.
Surely a problem with connections ‘inside’ the current SFOS version, therefore solveable.
BTW, Q: Why does Jolla change the internal connections between Apps and OS with some new SFOS version? Is this really necessary? What benefits do some changes bring?

Try the app Received in store.

maybe this problem was with the change to Sailfish OS 4.6, btw i use an Xperia XA2

i just installed Received but there also the search for Radio stations via Country, Genre etc. failed.
than i tried to save a local Radio station but it isn’t stored in the database…

You are right. Before 4.6 Received worked fine. But now it will not find a station. Please create the bug report.

Allradio stopped working many month before. Received will worked until 4.6. You can find a comment to this app in store 5 month old saying “worked like a charm”. After a little searche in this wonderful net I’m think radio.net as the provider has not changed anythink at the api. But my stored stations in Received will still produce music.

how can i create a bug report?

radio-browser.info also works fine and i use it daily on my linux computer via shortwave. So the api of radio-browser.info should also be ok

nice hack, thank’s for the info. this should solve the problem until it’s really fixxed :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

AllRadio works perfectly fine for me on 4.6. But it was installed from OpenRepos (the one with the most recent date), not from the Jolla Store.

Same for me, and that also goes for SailWave. I found that I had them both installed.

sRadio is the most recent app i guess

‘Quote:

with the OpenRepos version i just get a blank white screen … :frowning:

sRadio works well  -

Which one? There are four different builds on OpenRepos. And at least one of them works fine on my XA2 Ultra.

adel’s 1.6.0-1 version is the thing to use.
…or SailWave from here.

Yes, the adel’s one seems to be the one that I use. The armv7 build works OK on my XA2 Ultra, and the aarch64 build works fine on the 10 III, too.

the only one visible for me is 1.0.6.1-arm version

A quick look at InstallHistory on my XA2 Ultra shows that the one I have installed is 1.6.0-1 from adel. Which must be this one: https://openrepos.net/sites/default/files/packages/14467/harbour-allradio-1.6.0-1.armv7hl.rpm

And it just works.

The aarch64 build of it works fine on my 10 III, too. Listening to it as I’m writing this.
