Intermezzo to Tampere: visiting Jolla in busy times

Inspired by @makrolon, I decide to test the train connection between Helsinki and Tampere.

And a great connection that is! My goal today was to get a snap of the front door of Jolla’s office, and to explore Tampere a bit.

Turns out the front door is pretty easy to find, it’s right there on Open Street Maps, and Pure Maps + OSM Scout got me there without a hassle.

… but then @abranson invited me in, and showed me the offices! I’ll have to return another day to actually see the city.

The Sailors were still very busy prepping for Wednesday - some pics with permission.

I was invited to take a seat, to have some coffee and Wi-Fi, and to hack on Whisperfish until dinner time.

I tried putting the Giga Jolla in my back pocket, but I was caught red handed and had to put it back. :sob:

Anyway, writing from the train back to Helsinki: can recommend. Dinner was great, beer and sima were great. See you tomorrow and Wednesday! Seeing all those Jolla Phone’s around me Just Work™ing made me envious, and I can’t wait to have mine!

Amazing that you visited Tampere :heart_eyes: Bummer that weather was so bad, but probably didn’t matter that much inside the Jolla office :slight_smile:

Seems like you’ve met Raine and the other Jolla folks. I was there in March and aslo got a tour by Raine & Sami, touching the new Jolla for the first time. Looks like you had a good and joyful time in Tampere. I’m just sitting in the train to Helsinki looking forward to meet and see you all in live.
