@Jolla When using “Emma” to revert Xperia X back to Android the guide says “Keep the Volume DOWN button pressed when connecting the USB data cable between the phone and the PC”.
Well, I repetitively did just that with no success, for an hour or so, until I decided to try Volume UP, and guess what! Success on the first try. 
Strange. Is the Xperia X different?
On the XA2, Vol Up and Down have different functions.
Vol Down: green Led (Emma flsshing)
Vol Up: blue Led (SFOS flashing / recovery)
Corresponds to the guides.
@Edz What phone? Was it really Xperia X?
These instructions were originally written for Xperia X. However, the same works for Xperia XA2, Xperia 10, Xperia 10 II, and Xperia 10 III (*) models, too.
The “Installing Sailfish X on Xperia X using Windows” instructions also says “Volume Down”.
My bad, speed reading again, no, not Xperia X but Xperia 10 II…oopsy!!
